Default User Feedback Request: Stock B20vtec turbo reliability-How durable is your build?

I seen alot of post about stock b20vtec turbo and alot just has hp numbers but none say how long they have lasted making those number. I know the sleevs suck and rod bolts are unreliable over 7500rpm. But how long have people experienced daily driveing mostly weekend driveing with a stock b20vtec with skunk2 manifold and rail 900cc injector bigger pump on e85 and a good tune boosting 8lb on a decent t3/4 turbo kit. Any positive comment are greatly welcomed and lmk if 900cc injecters are to big or too small and what size turbo would be best a 50 or 60 series. Thank you

Oh yeah I I also have a true breather box set up for crank case pressure. And proble a dumb question has anyone ever tried to installe rod bolts in a motor with out removeing the pistons. I dont feel like rebuilding the whole motor just to replace rod bolt

You might actually get a reply if you post this in the forced induction section.

Ask the Mods to move it for you.

Cheers

8lbs on e85 shouldn't be an issue. As far as reliability adding a turbo system will have issues of its own, oil leaks, fitment and heat issues. Other then that if the tune is solid it should hold up just fine. I've tuned allot of stock turbo b20 vtecs that hold up, if **** hits the fan and the motor pops imported b20 longblocks are cheap anyways. As for rod bolts yes you can do them in the car, my buddy does them one at a time and uses a c clamp to press them out and hasn't had any issues with them. Also 900's should be just fine for e85 on that powe level. Make sure they are e85 compatible and I would wire a relay to the fuel pump as well.
