Default used t25 turbo

hey guy this is probably a stupid question but please try to be nice.
i just bought a used t25 turbo off of ebay and the guy said the turbo works great. theres no shaft play or anything. now i was just wondering should you alway get a used turbo rebuild no matter what or should i just not worry about it?? also how do you tell if a turbo has shaft play?? im pretty new at all this turbo stuff. thanks

see if the blade wiggles up or down and in and out. That is shaft play. A little up and down is ok, in and out is bad...
Rebuilding is up to you.

move the shaft and try to get the propeller on the housing. If you can't, you are good to go. Also try to move it in and out. In and out means you should rebuild it.
