im new to intercooler and looking for a good deal on used ic found this local for 100 obo

Trying to score a good core something like Garrett precision vibrant treadstone or something along that nature

does this look like a good core intercooler? For the price 100 obo

I also found this guy selling a new vibrant core intercooler for $175 shipped

But I’m steered towards used local as it’s cheaper and it’s local
but lmk what ya think

Second one, hands down. The fin density on the first is lacking in comparison. The first one you posted, I have, and while I haven't used it yet, give it MAYBE 3/5 stars. It looks good, nice construction; hefty.. Fin density sucks, even compared to my CXRACING intercooler..

Get the Vibrant. ;)

looks promising $179.99 shipped
but only problem is cold side is 3”
hotside is 2.5 flared to 3 at end
Wouldn’t 2.5” for STREET ONLY be better and more responsive?
I emailed them hoping to make a 2.5” complete instead of 3”/2.5->3” flared
my setup is
81.5mm cp pistons 10:1 b18b1

Also I’m looking at this intercooler piping setup

Second one is the better option. I'm not a fan of used FMIC's because they may be damaged and you won't find out until you actually install it. If you don't get the Vibrant one, try looking into Treadstone. I have the TR8L and it works fine.

Interesting that you got one of Metigulous's manifolds.

2.5" is preferable to 3" until ~700+HP.

Garrett cores, IMO, stand above most others. Including Vibrant, Treadstone, and maybe Precision, but any of them can do the job.
