upgrade valve springs

Im not sure if I need to upgrade my valve train, so i figured I would get some input. I have the basic setup looking for 600whp. Lsvtec with 00 b16 head, gsr cams. Im running a sc61 so I have no need to rev higher than 8200-8500, because I figure I should have a decent powerband as is and probably wont make power higher than that.

I pulled the head apart tonight to get it hot tanked and replace the valve seals, but while im at it should I be ok with just replacing the valve springs, keepers, and retainers? I dont need to swap valves do I? I was just thinking of going with supertech or skunk2 for the spring setup.

i would definately upgrade springs/retainers at that level. one less thing to worry about. if not to rev higher, just to stop any valve floating.
