Ugh NOBODY wants to weld up entanks for my FMIC
I have an audi FMIC, and i removed the stock plastic entanks so its a bare core, every place i go to says they dont want to or cant do it. one place said they could but they are backed up on fabrication and it will take over a month. My last resort is to head down to south florida performance, but I know they will charge me an arm and a leg. does ANYONE know where i can get some tanks made up in south florida?

Aluminum is nearly impossible to weld, especially thin-walled stuff like IC end tanks.......Wish I had an alternative for ya. What's wrong with plastic end-tanks, though?

try some of this stuff, and do it yourself
http://divescoinc.com/3stepuse.htm
you'd just need to get some aluminum plate and cut it to whatever you'd need.

There is a shop by me that does custom intercooler systems....they did the front mount on my friends 3000GT VR4 and all he gave them was the core.....they will do the tanks and piping including al brackets, bungs, and BOV mounts..
Their web page is http://www.matrixengineering.cc They are located in Portland so you will have to pay any shipping....but these guys do some top notch work
I'd send you a pic of my friends car but he took off the FMIC after it ate a rock at over 120...destroying the whole thing....and many other things.....

We could do it for you but....it would depend on the type of aluminum. If its a poor quality it could cause problems....We would test a small area first before going in a ruining the whole core. Do you have the end tanks??? Or do we have to fab them up? If you supply them I would think we could do them for 100 plus SH. As long as the headers are clean....
