typr r cams with adjustable camgears what degree
i know the car should be degreeded and tuned. for this but i just need it as a referance
what is the general adjustments for type r cams used in b series turbo with adjustable cam gears.
intake +1 deg
exhust -2 deg
somthing like that??

advancing your intake and retarding the exhaust will give you more overlap and will not improve performance with forced induction. leave them at 0 and 0 or tune on the dyno starting with intake cam being retarded and then exhaust cam being advanced.

sorry, they are adjusted already from a dyno. i took them off the cams, now im tripping out on what cam they came off. ive marked them. i and x. but are just worryed i got it muddled up.
one is adjusted + and one -

I would assume the - is exhaust and + is intake. I have itr cams and we retarded the exhaust and left the intake as it was.

I was wondering about this when the machinist grinds the tip during valve job.
I was thinking adjusting the lash made up for it, but yeah..then it will come on the ramp later, I guess. Is this enough to warrant adj. gears? Cuz I'm running stock.
Do they always dress the tips? And how do u measure this? With a dial indicator? Would this be the "installed height" spec? Seemed hard to find a flat surface to measure that as I think back...obviously don't do this very often, but have another build in the works so...just asking

all good rung the tuner and got the crrect degree setting of the computer and the last tune
