Yes! It was better than I expected, honestly. I didn't really like the look of it, but it was functional. I noticed a difference right away with my first WOT pull after putting the other one on. I dont think the CX unit was flowing right anymore.

Once you changed that turbo, it was obsolete immediately.

Indeed, it's fun taking the path less traveled

Nobody has been able to show personal documentation, like I can with XTD, of what failed and why.. Le Sigh..
Yea that's the same issue I ran into way back when before I bought my first action clutch. Because of the specific issue I had with the clutch springs backing out, I wanted an improved design so that wouldn't happen again. At the time action clutch sponsored bisimoto and I believe had a partnership with him to make private label clutches, that were essentially action clutches. I decided to give it a gamble and go with the action 6 puck 2ms I originally had and haven't looked back, as that clutch is now 6+ years old and going strong in my brother's 315hp b20v wagon.

A year or two ago I decided to buy the action twin disc because I wanted to support a smaller clutch company that's helping the community by raising the bar in quality. It's nice because action clutch sponsors a bunch of racers like 'Ghost boy aki' and 'frustrate eg' who are out there competing with the big dogs in their respective classes and able to provide input to action clutch for r&d. I don't think the action tripple disc is on their website yet but there are a few of their sponsored cars using it as we speak, and definitely not going slow

Piece of advice, don’t always believe the sponsor stuff thinking they run the product, I’ve known guys sponsored by Comp Turbo but running Precision, guys sponsored by AEM running Motec.

The sponsors don't care whether or not you're actually using their ****, all they want is the advertising. I had 2 sponsors myself way back when: McGuire's, and JIC Magic. JIC was a "partial" sponsorship; I got deep discounts for anything I ordered.. 75-80% discount IIRC. As for McGuire's... All my AutoX cars were primered. lol! They sent me free stuff monthly automatically, or whenever I ordered it.

Logged a good run just a bit ago. WOT 3rd gear, 3k to redline. AFR looks good through the pull til it hit where I turned up the boost.. Still a tad leaner than I want but, pretty steady. Boost pressure started building near immediate at 3200 rpm til I let off the throttle at 7k. I'm spinning tires at about 6200 rpm. When this thing hits 15psi, i lose traction as it climbs to 18.
Pulled just a little timing up top, added a little more fuel. Now i should be 18° timing, around 11.5 afr, 18psi.
Took the wife for a spin yesterday evening for the first time since the rebuild.. Yeah, I saw "the grin" lol!

Sound like your getting that dude rolling! Also.... wife wife would be hitting me the whole time lol..... she is not a fan of speed, and I would probably be sleeping in my shop that night to.

Hahaha! I mean, technically, it wasn't fast. About 45 to 90mph. Of course that happened in about 6 sec. Lol!
What I noticed is my injector duty cycle is only 42% so, she's got more to give. This frightens me. Lol!

This block was not CSS treated. Machinist says the cylinders should still easily support 400+ hp. I'd say they'll last until they break, no matter what level. Lol!

Why do you need new piping? If that's 2.5", you're perfectly fine. I thought you were the one not wanting to spend any more money than necessary?

I don't like spending more than necessary. New piping just so happens to be necessary!

ok. just trying to see if questions can be simply answered.

"I need new piping because"....

A) My piping is all dented
B) My current piping is the wrong length and I can't cut it to size
C) I think I need larger piping than 2.5" (2.0" on the compressor outlet) when I actually don't
D) 'cuz I can!

Multiple choice?
Partially A, definitely B (it fit much better though with the other IC)
I hadn't anticipated needing new pipes with the intercooler change but, the sizing is drastically different..

Thanks for the look! It's been a fun experience for sure. I've learned so much and still feel like I don't know ****. Lol! If I had the opportunity to do everything all over from scratch tomorrow, would I? No. I've gotten to where I am now because of what I did then and I may have spent more money in the end, but the experience I've gained is well worth it.

There ya go.. answering the question simply..

Stay 2.5" piping regardless of your needs. even if it is 2.0" on the compressor outlet, you're good to over 700whp.

For sure. I ran the numbers on pipe sizing and determined in planning that 2.5 was well within what I needed and more. I wasn't saying I needed larger piping, just better fitting. Whether it's a GAW pipe kit or an Ebay universal, these need to be replaced. Honestly, it's the hot side that needs the attention.
