Turned up the boost yesterday...OMFG!!!!
I've ran my car at 8psi for approx. 5 months now, and finally got some injectors for it that are big enough. I guestimated my fuel curve and kept the timing relatively conservative for the first couple of freeway pulls. Had a problem with the ebc coinciding with the SDS as far as what boost pressure the engine was really seeing (atmos pressure vs. pressure over atmos.) After I got that fingered out.... I rolled into it 2nd gear, traction until 7-9 psi yielded smoke and redline! 3rd gear and the car just started to ******* take off! (remember first time at near 350whp) it scared the **** out of me honestly. at the top of third it started spinning the tires, shift into fourth and the car started to torque steer like a ************! I was all over the road. I let out of it because I was a bit scared. but HOLY **** MAN! I made 250/250 on 8 psi, so at 16 psi on a t3/to4s 67 trim .70AR turbo....(using ricer logic) I legitimately should be making 350whp/350ft lbs this **** is just nutz! btw its a turbo 2.4L neon. 1st gen.
makes me wonder how you guys DD a 500 whp car hahhaha that **** is just crazy!
another side note...got to race an M3 on I-84. he wasn't to happy with the way I walked away from him hahaha. I'll have to go out to the track again.... see if I cant trap like 120mph on street tires. I'll prolly still run a 13.2 hahaha
