Default Turbos Interchangable Without Changing Piping? TURBO BLOWN

So my junkyard turbo gave way on me this week, shes seeping oil out the hot side and im burning oil out of my exhaust. Cant take it anymore

Needs to be replaced

The turbo is a t3 .60/.63, garrett with a 5 bolt flange

I personally want to spend very little on the replacment turbo (SSAUTO) but they dont sell .60/.63's obviously. I probably even want to step down a size as this thing is kinda of unusable and I dont like the powerband.

Is it possible to buy another turbo and have my downpipe, dump (runs soooo close to the dp!) etc all change over

Or will I have to redo everything?

My downpipe was litteraly made to run about 1/4" away from my oil pan so that pretty much cant move.

Need to know what sizes will work

Thanks

the whole reason you're in this situation is because you didn't spend the time and money getting a good quality good condition turbo. so why go through the same thing all over again?

imagine how happy you would be if you changed your manifold and downpipe to fit an ssac turbo and then found out it only lasts for a week and blows the seals out.

We have an SSAC turbo that blew oil out the seals after 4 months. We were curious to see how long it would last, but did expect it to go. It was only $100 and lasted 4 months, so not too big of a waste of money.

I just dealt with a guy who did the same thing. T3 turbo got it for free, blew the seals on it TWICE now, he just refuses to buy a new one. Funny thing is, he's rebuilt it enough times now for various reasons to make that turbo more expensive than buying a new one and having it run flawlessly. Then again, he also has an HF manifold with the adapter plate held on by, get this, lug nuts.

Your best bet will be a T3 .48 A/R 5 bolt. My suggestion would be to buy it new, that way, you won't be spending so much money replacing your turbo every few months.

his downpipe flange probably wont work for this turbo.. if not then get a new one and you will be fine good luck anyways.

Your downpipe should bolt right up. All t3 5 bolt housings are the same and should bolt right up without a problem. Good luck with that turbo, your probably gonna need it
