Default Turbonetics Deltagate Mark II opinions

I came across an older Deltagate Mark II wastegate in almost new condition. I picked it up for practically nothing. I have heard mixed issues with this particular model and was wondering pros and cons.

I soon realized that there are zero rebuild kits for this thing so I took it apart to check the internals and to my surprise..it is in extremely good shape. The diaphragm is perfect and everything is in tip-top shape. I plan to use it on my current build with the current (I think) 7 lb. Spring.

Should I use it or ditch it and buy a trial??

Any upgrades I can do to it to make it last longer under normal driving conditions? Any help, input, ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I had the old delta gate before and it did leak. So I put a compressor to it about 5 psi.
Found leaks from the screws that mount the diaphragm to the exhaust outlet. All I did was put gasket maker on the screws than I installed the screws and never had a problem. Leak test it

Pressure test from the lower fitting or upper? Or both?

Creep is not from the gate it comes from your crappy manifold design... Wastegates are not the most technical thing on earth its a valve a spring and a housing... Make sure it holds pressure and your good.

I had a couple of them, worked great and had no problems. Like was said, a wastegate is a simple part. As long as it doesn't leak you'll be fine. You don't have to have the latest fad of the week on HT to have a reliable inexpensive setup.
