Welp I still need to do some testing, but I was able to get my Boost BY Gear functioning today finally! I didn’t take the car for a test drive since I had 7 State Troopers in front of my house ( apparently someone / my neighbor died I came to find out) ..... hope to get a test drive done this week soon as Barry passes over and out of my area. I also pick up my Roll cage kit tomorrow and I’m hoping to get that installed in a timely manner. If I can get a few things finished up and some good suspension and tires, I want to do a 1/2 mile event coming up soon

Awesome...are you running a 3-port or 4-port boost controller, and what is your WG spring setup? Those Half Mile events look pretty cool.

‘I’m running the AEM 3 port with a 12 psi spring, I’m going start out with single line interrupt hook up first

You'll have to explain this one. Lol! As for the cop, he recognized me as soon as he got to my door, my daughter is in the same archery class as his. Lol!

I decided to stay gas with the 6.2L flex fuel. Plenty on towing power and less maintenance

Damn good truck, even though it's a Ford but, I'm known to give credit where it's due.

‘Since the truck might set around a lot I was told diesels don’t like that, I also do a lot of stop and go short trips which diesels don’t like.... the final thing that made me go gas, a buddy of my is one of the nations best diesel mechanics and he said nobody leaves his shop for less than 3k on about ANY repairs. He advised gas for my needs

diesels need to be stayed on top of. my dad has a 16 3500hd sierra lml has 178k tow's from here in norcal to indy once a week. never had one problem just stay up on maintenance and shorten your intervals. everyone hates 6.0's but I love mine. if you know there problems and stay up on what can cause them to go wrong then you never have problems. 3k in shop costs sounds like the people your buddy works on are great for business but clearly run there trucks into the ground. haven't ever looked into the 6.2 but if there anything like the old v10 im sure there complete torque monsters. plus you can always get a pro charger down the road.

People are getting 350-400k out of the 6.2’s and I think they are around 400 torque. It pulls my trailer with ease and it’s getting close to 20 mpg on the highway without tow and around 11-13 mph with tow

that would of sold me if I had the same needs from a truck. hope it works out good so you can go tear up some events. my cousin put a gt500 blower on his f150 his is a 2010 and he actually gets better mileage with it then he did stock and runs 11.3's 4x4 crewcab short bed.

Got the car torn apart and started mocking up where I want the main hoop to be welded in. By the end of this weekend I’m hoping to have the back half of the cage fully completed and I have a buddy coming next week to help with the halo and dash bars since they need notched and he has the proper tools and having a 2nd pair of hand is going to be very helpful for this process.

Will you be skinning the roof or just going to plug it?

‘I’ll probably get a piece of lexan to fill that area and paint a 1 inch area around the edges to look natural

Plugging it is probably the easiest, but removing the roof and using a non sun roof isn't that hard.
