Re: TurboLScrx - Making my return to the fold
I had this happen on the top end, but that's because a couple of the followers didn't seat right after cam install. The bottom end isn't so sophisticated so, I'm drawing a bit of a blank myself. Was it line honed after CSS? Only thing I could think of at this moment are the crank journals not lining true once torqued fully.

they have a light coat, the rods move up/down fine my hand, it just fine until the final rod bolts get torqued then the whole spinning assembly locks completely up. I’m about to dismantle this morning and clean off all assembly lube and recheck clearance again. It rotates fine with a dry assembly

I figured it had something to do with those caps. Good thing it was simple! So the B doesn't have a girdle like the D?

The B18C1 had a center girdle only that covers the 2/3 cylinders..... other great news... machine shop called and I just picked up my head. Woot!

That kinda sucks. More stuff to have to keep up with cylinder to cylinder. Girdle=easy mode. Lol! Get some pics of that head up here!

I plan on finishing up the bottom end today and tomorrow my buddy is going to help degree the cams and help find max tolerances for the camshafts

I have an engine with one of those. It sucks that ERL is gone now, so you can no longer get that nice product.
It doesn't replace the main caps... it sits on top of them. If you have a B16A, B18A/B or B20... the #3 (middle) main cap must be machined down to the height of the other four caps, but the GSR and ITR/CTR blocks just have to be line honed after installation.

Looks great!
(That 8 bolt billet girdle is also avail from GE, but has to be installed there by them. The 6 bolt is avail to anyone)

Re: TurboLScrx - Making my return to the fold
‘thank you sir, I’m hoping to be able to have degree charts done this week and get this thing assembled this weekend. this is the first time I’ve ever went through the process of cam degrees and valve tolerances, my buddy is helping (basically doing) this with me. After we finish these charts, we will have all the maximum safe adjustment limits of the motor while tuning the cams without ever having a risk of valve damage, it’s pretty intense and time consuming doing this process. We will have as much time doing degree work and engine assembly time but the engine will be spot on and we will be able to easily and safely put the cams to the recommendation from Skunk2 for maximum performance

I think you meant 10 bolt my friend. Yes, GE also offers a similar product. ERL's was the same way... fitting it required a line hone. I do not remember them offering that device for sale to the consumer, but I could be wrong. I know it was an option with their sleeveing process.
