Turboing my 99 EM1
Im looking for some direction into Turboing my EM1. Right now I have aem v2/megan JDM 4-1/2.25 burnt tip catback/omnipower JDM testpipe/crower stage 1's/blox manifold/B&M FPR/Phearable.net Chipped P28 OBD1 converted w/ UBERDATA. Anyways I want MORE! Everyone in my area is FI now and I just cant keep up, alotta kids getting Evo's, 350Z's and things of that nature. I WILL NEVER BE SEEN IN ANYTHING BUT A HONDA and I cant afford an S2000.
I would like to see some pics, get links and info on people who have had an ALL MOTOR EM1 and then have turboed it and there comments. TIA

Re: Turboing my 99 EM1 (BlueSi2k)
uhhhh... tune your car. if you just bolted all that crap up especially the FPR and ecu then your car is probably running like a gay prostitiute after a busy night (badly).
It seems you are the type of person who could benefit from understanding how an engine works. With that whole list of stuff that you have done to that EM1 a good quality header (toda, rmf, etc) would have made the most difference.
If you want to go FI, you have a tuneable ecu, you could do it on your current exhaust setup, all you need is a manifold, downpipe and dump tube, larger injectors (750's), walboro fuel pump (255hp), intercooler, charge pipes, BOV and waste gate.
good luck and dont blow it up.

Re: Turboing my 99 EM1 (MotorMouth)
Thats one of my concerns, reliability. And as far as doing it for the right or wrong reasons, I think my reasons are RIGHT! That I wanna turbo MY CAR. Bottom line.
Anyways, could someone chime in who has a B16, preferably an SI and has boosted it. How much was the total cost (for an average kit, or Homemade kit), labor involved as far as cutting the bumper or having to eliminate the Fogs to fit the IC and sich like that, again TIA guys...

Re: Turboing my 99 EM1 (all mtr em1)
as far as the foglights you can keep them...you just have to make your intercooler pipings around them. you can cut the bumper yourself. how much you cut depends on how big your intercooler. there are alot of people running b16's and making good power. your just have to buy a already made kit for cheap or make your own

CHime!
It's hella fun, especially with a good setup. Get a good tuner. Search around and you'll find plenty of B16's boosted.
