Default TURBOING H22 NEED TO BE RESLEEVED??

i know that the h22a4 needs to be resleeved... but how bout the jdm h22? 93-96 spec?? if anyone can help me out.. thanks

yup gotta sleeve it in order to run forged pistons. all h-series.

yep I guess they put some material In the walls to make it have less friction or somthing like that. and with normal pistons i guess it eats the hell out of them.. At least thats what I think I read.

The material you’re talking about is called FRM fiber reinforced metal. If you keep it under 7psi you should be fine with a tune. Anything over and I would sleeve the block and get some forged pistons.

doesn't some company make a piston for that motor thats "supposed" to work like OEM.

there's "supposed" to be a couple of company's that make them.. once company failed. the other company which i believe is mahle is like 800 bucks and no one wants to try them.. you can try them and let us know how it turns out.

I heard the mahle's only run in the 400 range... I'm going to check on this tomorrow.
