Default turboing 88-91 hatches. how do u make room?

i have an ls in my 91 hatch and i was thinking about turboing it but there is very little room, even with a half radiator it looks too tight. is there any manifolds made for this or do i have to get a custom radiator made or somethin?

Use a half radiator, slim fan and traction bar. You'll have more than enough room then. You can also just relocate the battery as well.

im talking about the actual clearance from the mani and turbo to the radiator and frame. its very tight wit ls in this car. even with half rad my turbo hit it.. where is a good place to get a small mani for a t3/t4 for an ls?

Sounds like you possibly need different motor mounts. Some will set further backwards, namely Hasports.

I run half rad and traction bars and have a HybridDynamics ramhorn style manifold with a gt35 turbo. So the setup is big but it all fits check it out...

PS Its a 1990 civic Si

with a log style mani your probably in better shape then a equal length or ram horn. i'm still running the factory sized rad with both external and internal style manifolds. i jsut noticed it was a lot cleaner looking with the internally WG'd setup. and a lot less clearance issues.

no clearance issues here. mind you the IC piping was a different story.

Use a log type mani. It's tight but it fits.

i suppose its my mounts im using cause theres no way i could fit that ram horn mani in mine.. my motor sits farther front than that by far. i could easily have done it to single cam but since i have ls in the hatch its really tight. even with half rad. ps. what are traction bars?
