For some reason, it feels as though the turbo doesn't kick in as fast without the intakepipe/filter. Also, when I shift, it makes a loud shriek when there is at least 5 psi ormore. It sounds really cool. Is this normal?

I also have a Blow off valve by the way.

The shriek is probably due to a sudden increase in flow through the turbo when the blowoff opens - the compressor has been forcing air into the manifold and suddenly the BOV opens and there's no pressure fighting it. As far as not kicking in as fast... well, that doesn't make any sense at all.

Ok cool, because other people have told me that my blow off valve is either not working properly (I know it's working properly because I can hear it!) or it's too stiff and I need to soften it up a bit.

Cause my blow off valve goes off and the turbo makes that sound, only when i'm at like 5 psi or more. I couldn't hear that noise before I think because the Intake filter muffled up the turbo's shriek.

That is so weird mine did the exact opposite. I put a filter on and it shrieks!

i think u lose power cuz there is not that much pressure. i'd run with the intake pipe and filter u'll get some of that power back. just my .02
