Turbo Z6 220hp?
Plans might change for my build. Was going to do the D16z6 high comp but a thought crossed my mind. So whats everyone think? stick with n/a or get boost.
This was the n/a build
Block:
Full rebuild
Stock connecting rods
ARP rod bolts
0.020" Overbore with NPR p29's
OEM bearings
Crank polish and balance, possibly a grind if needed
Unorthodox Racing Crank Pulley (Stock Diameter)
Exedy stage 2 clutch
Exedy 10.9lb flywheel
Block resurface
Head:
Full rebuild
Crower Valve springs
Crower titanium retainers
Bisimoto stage 3 cam
Crower Valves (3 angle valve grind?)
Skunk2 cam gear
Head resurface
Gates timing belt
Other: (already own)
Edelbrock Performer X intake (For now)
Hedman header
Password JDM CF intake
New Oem dizzy
New plugs and wires
Tuned on Hondata S300
New engine mounts
Now my head is already built minus the cam. Thats all thats missing. The block hasnt been started yet. Found a killer deal on some parts so might have to jump on the low comp turbo.... Heres the plan for the turbo block that would include the previous mentioned head but using a turbo cam.
Scat Rods
Vitara Pistons
ACL race bearings
ARP rod bolts
Total seal piston rings
With turbo set up
Edelbrock performer X intake manifold
Skunk2 70mm TB
New engine mounts
Tuned on Hondata s300
Turbo:
T25 Turbo
Apexi BOV
genaric intercooler and piping
Log style cast manifold
Not sure on the wastegate unless the t25 will have an internal.
I would be using either of these set ups for autocross at my local track. Now the turbo would make im hopping around 220 and the n/a would be closer to 160 right. Just looking for thoughts on either way. Would I need to get bigger injectors and a walbro fuel pump. Stock shuld be fine as im not going for crazy power. Running maybe 8-10psi on the turbo?
Now how would a turbo do on autocross events. Im hoping using the T25 that it would spool a lot quicker than a larger one. Just looking for any help I can get haha.
Any suggestions would be insanely awesome everyone. Thanks D-series!!

Re: Turbo Z6 220hp?
EDIT: Another totally off question. The high comp would have been running 11.75.1... What would happen if you put a t25 on that? Could work or no. Just saying cuz i already have the p29's.

Well my head is built like i said. Just needs a cam. I just dont really need crazy power thats why the low goal. Just want it nice and reliable!

holy cow i spaced out. A proper vitara engine can make 400 to the wheels. I had a friend who had a 355hp vitara and after 5 years its still running perfect. but for auto cross that would suck. 220 should be really reliable

that CR seems a bit high, but, considering you can almost make that power goal in NA form, i can imagine a low boost application can help your VE numbers.
