I built a 3"SS system for my dd LS/T about a year and a half ago.Last winter I started getting an occasional rattle in the flowmaster muffler.I had the system off today and saw that the Catco cat is an empty shell now.The car runs Hondata and a wideband all the time.It's never run very rich except in boost.
Is it worth trying another cat or just forget it.

You lost it due to the cheap cat most likely. oe cats tend to last quite a while.

Thanks.That was my guess too.Most of the threads in the search seemed to be cheap cats that failed.I think I'll add a resonator and maybe then I'll give Random Technology's cat a try.

I have a catco cat too. Uni 3 inch, I got it for like 50 shipped off ebay ha ha. It will probably crap out soon too

Tomorrow I'm taking the back half off and see if I can knock the honeycomb out of the muffler.If not it will be some plasma cutter surgery.

CatCo cats suck. I went through 2 before I switched to a Magnaflow. No problems since then.
