Which turbo to use for my b18c1?
I am looking for a turbo charger to start my turbo setup for street and daily driving. I have my eyes on a Garrett turbo (T3/TO4E 57 trim w/ .48 a/r). It has a .60 a/r compressor housing and .48 a/r turbine housing for quick spool. I just want to hear from some of you who has tried this turbo on your gsr motor. Does it run well at low rpm and high rpm(let's say up to 8000)?

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by TheShodan »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">.48A/R on a GS-R is not recommended. This creates more backpressure (bad) than any "spool" benefits. .63A/R is much more recommended.</TD></TR></TABLE>
I concur....48 a/r would be more suited for a 'quick spool' application on a d-series. On a healthy b18c a .63 exhaust housing is ideal. I run a .63 on my GS-R
