Default turbo USDM type R questions (Knowledgeable answers please)

NEW to the turbo scene. and i'm curious what i can do with this set up. heres the stats.

USDM Type R bottom end
b16 head
GSR cams
GSR pistons and rods
Type R ported intake mani.
Type R ported TB.
GSR trans
cametic head gasket
new rings.
exhaust (have 2.5 might get 3)

(FROM WHAT I HEAR)
stock GSR pistons and sleeves will hold up to 400whp but no more.
any input?

My question is how much power can i make with a good tune SAFELY and still maintian beating on it from time to time, and daily driving?

any help would be great.

they can hold more than that by 100whp to 200whp its just not recommended, but it is do-able, however its usually rod bolts that get beat before pistons.

just spend $750 on a rod and piston kit and wutever you decide to do from there should be safe, just dont get retarded and think you have a DSM that can run 30psi everyday the cylinder pressure will kill your sleeves.

With the engine setup listed above, you should be able to safely make 300-350whp depending on your fuel grade. You could make much more, but if reliability is key, i would back the goals down to the range above. On my stock block GSR on 91 octane, i made 315whp for 2 years. I also daily drove it hard during that time. Just be sure to get quality parts and a tune from a reputable tuner / shop.

Have you put any thought into your setup yet?

yeah,
i have taken out a 3k dollar loan.. so SO FAR i have
spearco FMIC thats good for about 450-500 (from what i have been told)
ramhorn style turbo mani.

PLANNING on getting
-somewhere around a 60trim turbo. (i'm looking at a garrett super 60 turbo right now)
-TIAL 38mm or 40mm wastegate
-HKS SS bov
-2.5in piping
-not sure what injectors to go with hopefully saturated so i wont have to run a resistor box
-hopefully running a P28 w/ Chrome
-and a solid tune.

lemme hear some more input. i want alot of ideas and input from experienced guys with boosted Bseries motor, pref. GSR's

please please please tell me why you took out a loan in the first place also if you were going to take a loan it should have been more around $6,000 and thats on a medium budget to plan for UNPLANNED expenses along the way.

also the T3 super 60 is not what you think it is. its a very small turbo. look more into a 57 or 60 trim. even a 50 trim may get what you want.

if your looking to stay mostly stock and be safe by a kit from AFI, SLS, or spoolin performance for $2700 and drop the rest in neptune RTP and tuning thats about $3500 total well spent and safe

where im from we dont race on large public roads. there are alot of back roads and woods.. its mostly country side type landscape. we go out late at night, and run a few times.. were not stupid and dont do it where other people could get injured.

lets stay on topic.

hitting the guard rail is just as fun, and there are no bystanders to get injured.. theres nothing but open feilds beside the road we race on..
