turbo/supercharger inquiry
ok ive been looking into turbo kits, NOT ON EBAY actual lagitamate shops in the area and websites.
was wundering if anyone had a complete list of all parts need for a ACTUALLY COMPLETE turbo kit for a D series engine.
also is supercharging the D worth it apposed to turbo. sence supercharging is a constant source of power as aposed to turbo lag etc.

Re: turbo/supercharger inquiry (o0Jash0o)
turbo > supercharger
supercharging= parasitic
turbo= free; energy
turbo wise youll need a manifold, turbo, wastegate ( if turbo is not internally gated). chargepiping. intercooler, blow off valve, oil lines ( steel braided for pressure, fuel line for return) T fitting for pressurized oil line. oil pan bung.injectors, fuel control, wideband , boost gauge, couplers/clamps and a filter ( intake if applicable) depending on application.down pipe. new gaskets. loctite. misc. vaccum lines. peakboost makes a killer sohc kit. you can always check peakboost too.... i dont know if they have a d series kit, but theyre kits are incredibly affordable, and make great times. pm BoostedJeff for peakboost stuff

Re: turbo/supercharger inquiry (o0Jash0o)
its funny how people think that turbos are sooooo laggy
there are alot of things that contribute to a turbo being laggy
a restrictive intercooler system for 1
a crappy turbo manifold
a turbo that isnt right for the boost/power setup
there are dual dall bearing turbos which spool extremely fast over journal bearing turbos.
so to say a turbo system is laggy or whatever isnt true it just depends on the turbo setup
