Turbo suggestion for purpose built H23
Posting this for a buddy of mine at the dept.
I will try to get more information from him as needed from you guys,
But this motor is currently sitting in a Del Sol (unsure of year) and plans to be a "track only" car for occasional 1/4.
Its a sleeved H23 block
CP pistons ~9.4
Crower con rods
Stock head with fresh rebuild (stock everything with fresh VJ)
Love fab "mini me" turbo manifold i believe
For the car's weight he "wants," around 400-450 hp. Not looking to beef up the tranny or axles other than a new clutch so I think that will be the max he's looking at making right now.
Right now he's unsure of which turbo he should be using. He's looking into 5431E by precision? But is also sucked into the 6262 hype, But would even a 5557 with the CEA wheel be a good fit for his goals? He wants to stick to precision for the brand as our friend has had great luck with one on his LS2 drag/street car.
Im not knowledgable enough to really tell him what will work and perform great, but i was hoping you guys could help me point him in the right direction.
**edit: also looking to settle a debate between him and i and some others. Would it be smarter to put off the engine aspect of it and build up the chassis now with traction bars, maybe axles, suspension, better wheel and tire combination.
OR
Get most of the engine work done first, and have it riding stock suspension etc. spinning all over with his 17'' enkei wheels.

Re: Turbo suggestion for purpose built H23
He said "hopefully pump," when I texted him. Im meeting up with him and some guys tonight so I can pry more info and details if needed from him.
But he said if he HAD to he wouldn't mind e85, but in our area (richmond, VA) I haven't heard of any e85 stations at all. His goal may be a bit of a stretch on 93 octane without using sacrificing power eh?
