Default turbo squeal??? prolly something easy

Alright, i just finished my turbo install and tried to fire the engine up. I turned the key and i hear a loud squeal from my engine bay. Also, the engine feels like it's trying to fire up, but it just can't. I thought there might be an oil leak somewhere, so i checked underneath the car, but no leaks. Is this noise made because lack of oil? Do i just unscrew the oil feed like from the turbo and put it in a bucket to see if oil is actually making its way to the turbo? It's a pretty ugly sound and i figured i'm not doing something right, so i thought i'd come on here and ask you guys what your thoughts were on the subject.

Also, if i keep the key turned for about 4-5 seconds, the check engine light comes back on, but it's not on when i first turn the key. If that matters at all. TIA.

Just thought i'd paraphrase it a little for people:

alright so my big problems are, why it's not firing up, Should i just keep trying until it finally does? or am i doing more damage by doing this?

Also, what might be making the squealing noise. Thanks

New Idea, could it be that the starter crapped out? Dont they normally make a squealing noise when they go?

My friends dsm made a loud squealing sound from the turbo, but it was sitting outside for a while w/no turbo. Ended up being a squirl that made a home in his exhaust for the winter and left enough nuts in the exhaust to completly block it off. Only made this noise when it ran tho, just thought i'd share.

haha thanks for the laugh. Nah, i just finished the project today and tried to fire it up. I got a loud squeal/screeching noise(might've been magnified since it was in a garage). I'm going to see if the turbo was even getting any oil when i unhook the drain hose tomorrow, but any other experiences with this? I was inside the car when i turned it on so i dont know exactly where it came from.

Have someone watch the crank pulley.. see if it spins when it squeals... if it doesn't turn over, then your starter or flywheel or both is no good.

i went out and tried it again this morning. The crank pulley does spin. Idk how fast it should be spinning, but it does rotate when the car is trying to turn over. Does that mean it's the alternator?
