Turbo spooling too late?
I'm running a Garrett T3/T4 (57 trim, .63 a/r) on a built B16 (rods and pistons 9:1 compression), stock head. Currently running 17 psi, and it takes until roughly 6K rpm to hit full boost. By 5300 or so I'm at 12-13 psi. Is this normal for this big of a turbo on a B16? I do have a log manifold, but would that make a turbo spool quicker than an equal length? I also thought that maybe taking it down to a .48 a/r for a quicker spool. Any suggestions would be greatful.

sounds a little late to me, but might be because you're boosting a lot more compared to me. i'm running 8psi on my gsr, i forget when i get full boost. hahaha (sorry 3:30 in the morning here). you might wanna look around for air leaks?
your log manifold would have a quick spool vs. the equal length. if you wanted a quick spool, you might just go with the smaller .48 housing as you stated.

Re: (undercoverdc2)
i have an 84.5mm ls/vtec setup, full built with a freakin SC34 and i dont hit 5psi until 4500rpms, 26psi by like 6500 or so. it works, but kinda shitty if you ask me.
