Default Assistance Needed: Understanding Boost Control: Engine not reaching target pressure

Hey my buddy and I are new to Honda and we got a b16 with b18 head vtec 1000cc injectors holset hx40 turbo hondata s300 V2 electronic boost tial wastegate controller bought from a buddy of ours that had it running on 15 psi but had problems only doing 5psi now. I thought boost lines got switch possible rearrange them then hit 8psi with boost cut so we put back way they were still around 7-8 psi and boost cutting what the **** are we missing replaced distributor plugs vacuum lines car also idles up a little after you let but goes back down after you touch throttle off boost cut for cold and hot are set for 12psi just running a tune for 8-9ish right now but want to get the full 15psi when this problem or problems are worked out the boost control is tapped into intake manifold it all has work on this setup before just wondering if something stupid is messed up or computer wise we really live far from any Honda shops and don't have money either. Thanks for any help and will take any suggestions boost cut hits around 5k or so

you said its hitting boost cut which can be caused by tune settings or variance in the boost controller which the tune would also control the settings for

Update switch boost controller lines around no longer boost cutting but only hitting 5-6 psi like boost controller is not connected anything thoughts will it just run wastegate spring pressure if no boost controller?? Or if controller is working why only 5 when it's tuned for 15

You need someone that is familiar with boost controllers and your ems software(if using electric boost controller) to troubleshoot this is why I recommnded a tuner....if not start reading and learning we are not there to fix the problem it's your turn to start reading up learning and troubleshoot yourself

it does sound like controller was working when it hit boost cut. Could be inconsistent variance in boost controller due to weather which is completely normal. Read up on boost controllers how they work and how to control them in whatever ems you are using. since you don' want to take it to a proffesional
