Turbo real close to radiator, suggestions needed!!!!
I have a 94 teg LS and I'm installing my turbo right now. I have a revhard manifold with t3/t4 garret turbo. Right now I only have about a one inch space between the turbo and radiator. Will this be enough room for when the engine torques? I also had to ditch my stock radiator fan because the downpipe wouldn't fit. My buddy had an extra a/c fan laying around that fit perfect. However, my question is will this fan be as efficient as my stock radiator fan. Thanks

you sure your install it the right way ? if youre DP is on the radiator fan, you may have install the turbo in the manifold backward....
I assume you have a t3 B series manifold with AC ?

I'm sure the install is right. I have the t3 b series manifold with NO ac. This same extact setup was on my bro's car and his dp was on the radiator fan side.

Is it the compressor housing almost hitting the radiator........that shouldn't be a problem heat wise. Get polyurethane(sp) motor mounts, that'll help stop the engine from torquing into the radiator.

It's not really much of an issue of it hitting as it is if heatsoaking the radiator. If your worried about it hitting the radiator those mounts won't stop it they'll just make it hard for the engine to hit it as hard. I'd solid mount your engine or just move the turbo out of the way. You could also go to a smaller radiator.

Thanks for the replies, just one more question. As I said the stock radiator fan was too big, there was no way for the dp to fit. My buddy had a smaller AC fan laying around and it fit perfect. Will this fan be as efficient as my stock radiator fan? I plan on buying a new aftermarket fan later but I was just wondering for the time being if this fan will cut it.
