i just put my first turbo on today and have not yet hooked up all the piping to the throttle body and i have some questions...i have oil going to and coming out of the turbo and it spins when i idle the car up but it does not spin at idle...is this normal or is somthing wrong. ive never put together a turbo setup on any of my other cars this is my first just have some questions. thanks

normal , wats size u have, i have a t3/t4 and mine doesnt spin at idle unless i give gas

keep in mind (i didnt say before but oh well) im in the process of building so it was not much over idle. i just have an in tank fuel pump right now no injectors or tune yet. what would be an economical unit to tune with for me.

it doesn't have to spin at idle because at idle you are not making any power, is it seize up? does it spin at all? mines doesnt spin at idle, but i have never really cared if it did or not as long as it hits boost im straight dont worry, you ok.

ya it spins when i rev it up just a little i just wasnt sure if it was normal to not spin at idle. havent messed around many turbo setups. wanting to very badly though thats why im askin all these somewhat stupid questions. just wanting to know a lil more...

the throttle plate is closed at idle so theres barely any air going into the motor so theres barely enough air going out throught the exhaust to spin the turbo..its normal...if theres no shaft play and its not making noise or smoking dont worry about it
