Turbo newbie question
Okay I'm just starting to learn about turbos. If a larger downpipe allows you to spool up faster, how large is too large? I know anything bigger than 2.5" will have trouble clearing the AC condenser but what about those without AC?

Hey Ben, anything above 3" will be useless. But you can get away with a 2.5 to 3" flare and still keep your ac. Are you thinking of runing with us big boys now Ben?

Well I've always had the plan to go turbo but I want to build the motor first. I'm just trying to build my knowledge now. I don't have AC so would it be cool to just run a straight 3"?

eyah Art saw some good gains, but if my memory serves me, he has got a 2.5 to 3 flare going on, hes in Texas and has to keep his ac, so i think right after the ac compressor, it flares out to 3 inches
