Let me get this straight...... if the MAP sensor sees boost... it will throw a engine check light rite?

so I either #1, i get a missing link..... or #2 get check valves to bleed the boost into the atmosphere..... so that that MAP sensor doesnt' see the boost rite???

Ok...... and then there's this..... I look on the importparts site and it says that the missing link is for OBD equipped cars..... does that mean that non-obd cars (like my 90 integra) dont' need a missing link or check valves?

Help me out..... I'm confused.............................

yes, you need a check valve and/or missing link unless you have a Hondata or Zdyne

90 integras have OBD-0.

missing link is a fancy checkvalve... checkvalves are valves that let vacuum reach the map sensor, but they let the boost go out before it gets to the map.. hth

no.... 90-91 integras have no obd.....

i'm not even sure if there is an obd-0.... but if there was, it's not the same as non-obd.....

My friend's 91 integra is considered OBD-0. It has onboard diagnostics and will throw a CEL (flashing LED on the ECU). It is compliant with federal OBD-0.

honda is one of the only ones to run obd-o, im pritty sure it was pre 92 and then after 92 there is obd-1 and then some hondas converted in 95 but most in 96 to the obd-II system
