Re: turbo manifold bolts (blackdude)
If you have room, you can use a locking washer, or buy a new set of bolts that have the nylon liner in them that are vibration resistant, and won't back out.
Here's an example of what I'm talking about......

dude, you cant use nylon locknuts on a turbo manifold. lol..
I use "cap screws" with red loctite and dont have a problem. they work excellent with ball end alan keys. Great for hard-to-reach areas.. I dont know why everyone doesnt do this..? *shrug*

I use studs and copper locking nuts. Nothing backs out at all, but what sucks is well, they're locked and you'll pull the stud out if you need to remove one of them.

Cant use nylon, it melts. You need to get the lock nuts with the deformed thread, or the copper "exhaust nuts" which I think are the same thing. Thats a mechanical lock that doesn't care how hot it gets.

Worth sells the copper exhaust nuts. They work very well but they are hard to remove after they have been on awhile. Especially if the studs are mild steel. I used as much stainless as I could in my turbo setup so hopefully I could avoid the fastener problems.
Standard split type lock washers will loosen up as the heat anneals them. They are as poor a choice for exhaust as plastic lock buts.
