Default Which Turbo/Mani For a B18B Integra??????

Ok I might be looking into building up a custom turbo set of for my 94 integra ls. I am wondering which tpe of turbo I should purchase. I was thinking either a T3 or T3/T4. My gut feeling is the T4 might be to big for me. Are there diffrent types of t3 and t3/t4 turbo's or are they all pretty much the same. Also which type of turbo manifold should i use with my turbo. Also would it be better to build up and fix a used turbo or to buy a new turbo. Any good places to buy them to. Thanks

Manifold...well how much do you want to spend? Usually it's the InlinePro (Which is what I got), RevHard, Drag. A/C compatiable? Equal Length Manifold? Turbo wise I'm going with T3/T04e from cheapturbo.com. Great price plus the 5bolt upgrade for fifty bucks gives me to the grand total of $599. i think it was the .48 A/R .60 A/R with 57 trim wheel. Just something to get my car faster, but not race car fast but faster than a greddy kit....search.....just ma .02

do a compression test first, make sure your motor is worthy of turbo...

on those manifolds

those manifolds are prone to cracking and such.

stick with inline pro, revhard max rev things like that.

or go all out and get a full race manifold.

i do, and it cracked 3 times in 5 months.

get an inline pro or revhard mani.... cheap, efficient, no spike, wont crack, will last forever, AC compatible, downpipes are easily available that work with it, has made 500whp. cant go wrong.

oh and that one ,the wastegate hits the raidator... and has the shorter runs... those are the old manifolds that meng made that CRACK due to the short runnres and angle of the turbo postion.OBX copied mengs old style manifolds and trying to ***** them out... GOOD luck those alreay got a BAD rep. / SPARKRACING has the new revised version with the tial wastgate on the driver side

If you have the $, go for the inline pro manifold. Pay the extra $ to get a good manifold. Will be worth it in the long run.

PM arturbo and tell him Roger sent you! he'll take care of you!

I don't think Tony would ever put that manifold on the race car. It probably cracked on a customers car.

how much work would be needed to customize this manifold to be capable of bolting on a t25 turbo(greddy 15, GT28,t28 t25(not MDS) )

At least somebody is smart enough to realize this. That manifold won't make it anywhere near our race car.....

why do i always hear about turbo manis cracking when i cant remember a single case of anyone complaing about their NA header cracking? Ive had a cheap crap OBX BOMZ whatever header on my car for over 3K mi now and the only problem is some heat discoloring of the finish, the welds are not corroding and there is no cracking anywhere

An NA header doesn't run nearly as hot as turbo manifold and it doesn't have the weight of the turbo dangling from it either.

theres a little bit more heat going through a turbo mani then a NA header. theres also a little bit more wieght it has to support as well.

well what kind of heat differences are we talking about between a NA header and a turbo header

stock B18 vs 8lb B18, i know its kind of a vague comparison but would the temps be more than 100 deg apart?

I think they'd be something like 800 degrees apart.
