Default turbo kits from ebay??? Are they any good?

I'm not very familiar with turbos and stuff. I do know the good brands and what not...but I was curious.

THough I'm on a super huge budget(house payments...etc), I went on ebay to look around for stuff that "may" give me an extra umph to my car.

THen I saw these complete turbo kits(excludes the down pipe) that cost under 1K. Specifically I was considering of getting the JDM sports turbo kit in the upcoming few months.

So I'm trying to find if anyone has reviews on this kit. I've only read 1 review and it mentions about SSautochrome. And they said some really bad stuff about it cracking at the seal and stuff running at 20psi along with installation problems.

Now I'm not trying to run 20psi...maybe around 7-10, but I was wondering if you know anyone who's ever bought this kit on ebay and what problems they've encountered or if there's any stories where they don't run on that high of boost and had no problems.

A little info is that I'm currently running a non-vtec motor and am trying to buy a new car soon, taht's why I'm not trying to go into HKS or Greddy. I do know that quality does come with cost. I just want to know opinions.

If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it.

boost isn't cheap....search and you'll find about 1,232,460 threads like this.

SSAC Threads like this should equal a reduction in the percentage by your post count

Just as a point of reference I searched “ebay turbo” and 250 results were returned. Honda-tech has a great search engine, a person with basic auto skills, having never worked on a Honda before could do an engine swap, turbo, and tune a Honda by just using the search function. I have no problem with the occasional “hey I stuck and don’t feel or have the time to search” but some questions are better suited to simply use the search function.
