Turbo kit for civic 2.0 EL .
Hi Guys,
I'm new to all this hope you can help.
I'm purchasing a civic 2.0 EL in Thailand. It only produces 155ps but i know the same engine (K20) can produce 190ps in the other markets (US & UK). I'm considering turbocharging, i know there is a HKS dealer in Bangkok.
1.What is the best way to get the engine to produce 200ps + (220 preffered)
2.How much power & torque can the engine & automatic transmission take?
3.what else do i need to consider if turbocharging?

Not the same k20.
your k20 is the k20a3 which is the old civic si and base model rsx motor. 160hp
k20z3 is the k20 used in the US civic si. it makes 197hp
auto tranny is bad news if you wanna make more power... honda isn't known for stout automatics

Any ideas as to what i should do to up the power?
What is the diffrence between the K20a3 & K20z3?
Is turbocharging the way to go,I have done some research & come to the conlusion a small turbo running about 6psi & about 210 bhp would probably be enough for me (fast road).
Any idea how much power the autobox can take before i have reliability problems?
