build your own...$3k isn't that much for a good kit. If you're building a POS junkyard build, then you can make it for $1000, but i wouldn't do it to my car. I'm building right now, and i plan to spend like $2500 and that's pretty much all new parts and i' not going to cheap out and buy SSAC turbos or DSM anything....i'm building something that's going to last!

Here's how I rolled:

-Precision SC50: $500
-XO2 intercooler: $200
-TunerToys Charge Piping: $100
-Tial BOV: $150
-Tial Wastegate: $150
-All flanges and elbows for a custom stainless ram-horn: $150
-Cost to have manifold professionally tig'd: $100

So, $1350 for 400whp on a D16. Everything was bought on ebay. Heck, the manifold is identical to the $700 ram-horns that places like love-fav sell, and it only cost me $250. I highly recommend making your own manifold. You really get raped when you buy one. C'mon, anything over $400 for a manifold is rediculous when you realize how little they cost to make.

my whole entire piece together kit including fuel management with tuning only came out to around $1800. imo, for $3000 you could build a pretty badass kit if you shopped around.

i cant find any good quality parts for that cheap!!! i take it websites are bad places to look as they want $700 alone for a turbo and $700 for a manifold.

And then all you guys said ebay was ****... So thats why i am lost... and i cant find any brand new cheap equipment

"good quality" and "cheap" used in the same sentence? . it basically depends on what your goals are.

I bought a lot of stuff off of the classifieds on the HondaMarketPlace...

T3T4E 60trim .63AR - $400
SPoolin Log Manifold- $200
CCA 31x6x3 IC- $140
RC 550s- $200
HP Racing IM- $240 w/ fuel rail
IC Piping - $100
SSAC Wastegate- $70
Tial 50mm BOV- $50 (got a good deal on that one!)

I still have to get some parts too
P28 chipped ECU and harness - $200
Walboro 255lph HP fuel pump - $100
Clutch (6k pk sprung) - $350
Tuning - $200
Downpipe and dump - $200
Exhaust - $50

all said that's $2600 for newer if not brand new parts......you can get a good kit for cheap if you just look around, take your time and know what to look for!

Build your own..

Also by doing this you will learn alot more about boosting a car than just buying a kit will show you..

People get confused because we say "don't buy ebay ****" and they don't know what that means.

Well, what we mean is "don't buy stuff on ebay from a company that exists solely on ebay." Ebay companies are what sell crap.

However, you can still buy top of the line parts on ebay. You have to wait for the good deals. A few years ago I bought a $2,500 supercharger on ebay for $700, but it took a year for that deal to surface.
