Turbo K20 build 2
Well, after I sold my last car, I immediately got the itch again. So I picked up another EK hatch and have been at it ever since. I had no choice but to sell the last one and now that I got some things on track I decided to start build number 2. Very similar setup as my last car, I didn't want to change too cause the last car worked and performed just how I wanted (except for some traction issues). So this time, I decided to go with an exospeed front (thanks locash) so I can fit wider wheels and bigger tires to do a better job at putting down the power. Big Big thanks to david at Hybrid-Racing for his continuous help with getting me the parts I need and looking out for me. Heres the setup on the new car:
K20A2 motor
86mm JE 10.8:1 pistons
Eagle esp rods
ACL race bearings
Supertech valve springs/retainers
ARP headstuds
OEM headgasket
Hytech modified oil pump
Hybrid-Racing tensioner
Stock cams
Stock port head
Stock sleeves
Hybrid racing EKK2 mounts 95a
Hybrid racing conversion harness
Xcessive bottom feed manifold Q45 throttle body
K20A2 6 speed transmission
OEM gears treated by racer steve
Competition st5 clutch
Competition flywheel
DSS 5.9 axles
Turbo/Fuel setup:
Borg warner S363 ETT turbo
PLM manifold
Precision 750 I/C
Tial bov
Tial wastegate
Hybrid racing fuel rail
Hybrid racing FPR
Fullblown fittings and Dual pump hanger
two walbro 450 pumps
FIC 2150 injectors
Few pics of the progress ive made so far.

Re: Turbo K20 build 2
These pics are taken from mock up, im in the process of building the motor now, should be on the way as soon as I get another piston from JE. I ordered the pistons through titan motorsports and when they arrived one had a nasty gouge on the edge. Been 3 days and haven't heard nothing back yet. Please JE and TITAN hurry up lol

Re: Turbo K20 build 2
Man I just found out about those tires not too long ago, and I think theyd work great. Ive been talking with lindseyhunt about different tire setups and whats worked for him and whats worked for me. Still undecided but the 235/50 r888's have been on the top of my list since I found out about them. K trannys are weak and I didn't want a huge tire, and my car did pretty good on 225's on a 6.5" wheel, so 235 r888's on an 8" wheel is what ive been thinking as well.

Hey bud, i have an xcessive center feed as well.. i can't seem to mock up the piping for the passenger side and enable myself to use my traction bars.. Do you have traction bars on your car? Anyway you can snap some more photos of how your intercooler piping is setup?

also decided to sand down and polish the weld on the turbo for the clamp, trying to make it look like it was made on there. Still working on it, Not so easy...

Re: Turbo K20 build 2
Yea I probably should have done a back door as well. But im sure this will work just fine. But you could also do a 45 directly out of the throttle body going down underneath the frame and make another 45 then going around to the intercooler.

Looking good man. I made a little build thread for my new project, but stuck it in the appearance region of the board. Check it out if you want: https://honda-tech.com/forums/appearance-build-threads-122/1991-turbo-hatch-build-setting-bar-procrastination-3176290/
Looking forward to seeing this thing run!!

Inside of the xcessive with 58mm runners. Had really good luck with this manifold last time and rich was really helpful and took the time to call me to answer all my questions.

Re: Turbo K20 build 2
I dont have any specific power goal, but anywhere from 700-750 will do what i want it to do. The car is actually black, the guy i bought it from painted the damn roof white to help it not be so hot in the summer... (Moron) yea i know we were both thinking it. And the front end pics were mock up to fit it all before i have it painted. Here was my last car. https://honda-tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3130946
