It was a diesel. Madness, but 60 psi of manifold pressure is "normal" for semis. He's running a heavily modified governor, a massive turbo, propane, and nitrous. Probably built for a tractor pull.

One one the turbo, three for the pipe. 71psi is pretty high after all. I can't help but wonder how light you could build a tube chassis around one of those big diesel engines...

Bigass dodge diesel.
What I think is weird is that he has (4) T bolts clamping the intake on and only (1) T bolt clamping the 70psi charge pipe onto the turbo? If anything you would think he would have reversed that? for a rediculous exhaust

I've got videos of the shied dodge pullin truck. it runs 175psi. they can dyno it cause it make to much power. Ive seen it in person. it's incredible. my friends TT dodge is runing 65psi and he runs low 12's. it's a daily driven truck. there is one guy in a similar dodge that has been 4 linked in the rear and runs big slick the had made some 10.50 passes. that just on boost. no propane, nitrous, water/meth. just boost. my chevy runs 25psi as of right now. it's basicaly stock((intake, exhaust, and programmer)) . I puts down about 380whp and 760ft-lbs of torque. my truck runs high 8's in the 1/8th mile. I have a low 9 second pass on kazaa. just look for chevy diesel vs nissan 240. I launched in 4wd but with a little to much boost and spun so it really messed me up.
here's a pic of my truck.

you dont' when you're throwing in that much full. in most states you don't have emissions on 3/4 ton truck. but also alot of state you'll get a nice little ticket for that. when I turn up the boost on my truck I can make a pretty thick smoke screen. it's kinda funny

Diesel emissions are supposed to be cleaner than gasoline engine emissions. Also it sounds pretty weird but you can swap the fuel system over to cooking oil like they use in McDonalds as fuel? I work with a guy that is big into turbo diesel stuff and he knows all about that cooking oil conversion. Its pretty awsome.
Oh by the way anyone ever seen those Pulling tractors that have multiple turbos? Those things are redamndiculous

Ever seen the tractor with 4 turbojets from Apache helicopters? Saw it on Trucks!, I think they said it made 20,000 pounds of torque.
As for emmissions, you are right that diesel is cleaner. All of that soot may look nasty, but you could stand in that room breathing it in and get nothing more than a case of black lung. Do that with a gasoline engine and you just die.
