Default turbo guru's question that I don't think anyone has tried what do you think

I have the greddy kit and that POS 18G. I thought about it and since the housings are TD05 a 20G compressor wheel should fit in there right? so how bout put the 20G wheel in, port the WG hole to 34mm and it should make more power right? since the 20G is a TD05 housing the wheels should be interchangeable right?

I want opinions cause I thought about doing this over winter if you guys think it will work. I think it would be awesome to have a Greddy 18G looking turbo with 20G internals

just buy an actual 20g. they will bolt up. hahn racecraft sells them pretty cheap. i know everyone on ht would practically kill for an 18g, lots of ppl have been looking for them lately.

the nice thing about the 20g is that you get the 20g exhaust wheel and i would get th tdo5 7cm housing or something larger

no they won't the greddy mani uses a nissan T25 flange for the mani and some stupid flange for the DP so it won't bolt up or I would have just done that.

the TD05H is a 8cm housing on the greddy kit so I think the 20G internals will fit in it, but I want to port the housing for it to flow better. there is a DSM shop local so I can get them to do it but I wanted to see what everyone on here thought of the capabilties of the turbo before I dropped the cash on it.

I think you can swap out the entire CHRA and both wheels so you could have a 20G in a Greddy 18G costume basically. that is why I want to do it just like the DSM guys love the sleeper 16G's in the 14B housings
