Turbo Guru's...Need Opinions
Ok guys i got rid of the nitrous i was running on my 5th Gen Prelude a while ago, and embarked on a mission to go boost.. And i am kind of looking for opinions on my parts so far... what do you guys think?? will it all run well together? do you think i should look into changing any parts for others?? here is what i have so far:
Garret T3/T4e Turbo
RC Engineering 310 cc Fuel Injectors (should i consider changing to 440cc?)
Greddy Type-S Blow Off Valve w/ flange
Apex'i Turbo Timer
Turbonetics Deltagate II
BBK 255 lph Intank fuel pump
Vortech FMU
AutoMeter Phantom Boost Guage 5703
AutoMeter Phantom Fuel Pressure Guage 5712
AutoMeter Phantom Oil Pressure Guage 5721
AutoMeter Triple Guage Pillar Pod
Apex'i V-AFC
Greddy Profec- B Spec Electronic Boost Controller
Crossed Drilled and slotted brake rotors
Drag Gen 4 Turbo Manifold (which i am still waiting for from Import Parts.com)
A'pex i N1 Exaust
Spearco Front Mount Intercooler 29 x 7 x 3
Inline Pro (2.55mm) Head Gasket
Block Guard
Skunk2 Racing Adjustable Cam Sprockets
Missing Link Map Sensor bypass valve
All i am missing is at the moment:
downpipe & the Intercooler Piping (and the manifold which should be here any day now..)
so what do you guys think? or

Looks good, NICE setup. I wish I had the $$$ to built it all up w/ a nice T3/T4 and that kind of fuel management.
Coorrect me if I'm wrong though. But if you go w/ the upgraded injectors/V-AFC that you wont use the FMU? You would tune the fuel w/ the V-AFC instead of relying on the FMU to up the pressure while in boost? Or can they be used together?
I also think you should trade me your type-S BOV for my HKS

Thats exactly why i am posting on here in the hopes to get some opinions... I was told that the FMU and the VAFC can and will work together... then again i am hoping someone can clarify it all for me... by the way my avitar is a picture of my new toy.. Whats the difference between the Greddy and the HKS??

The type S is adjustable, and a lot louder. I have an old school HKS. It's got more of a rush of air sound instead of the high pitched chirping. I'm looking to get a Type-S cuz this one is just too quite. It's effective though

Re: Turbo Guru's...Need Opinions (LordVtec)
ur gonna want some larger injectors than that.......at minimum some 440's
get a Greddy Type R BOV ( u can buy mine off me)
Get a Tial or HKS wastegate, **** a deltagate, yunless its the full out race one, and u dont need that
I dont trust autometer guages, get somethign better
VAFC and FMU is nice, but Hondata is so much cooler
why would u put add brakes to ur turbo kit list ( yes those will be fine)
Drag manifolds suck, dont waste ur tike....get REV Hard, SFP, or something of that nature
dont need a block guard
inline head gasket is a good choice
get Thermal exhaust
those are just my sugestions.....if u dont like them, I dont care.....no sweat off my *****, ya KnOw HoMe BoYYYY!!!!!!

Re: Turbo Guru's...Need Opinions (On Point EK!!!!!!!!)
Larger injectors at least 440cc saturated. Tial wastegate. Clutch. Standalone highly recommended (do it now as you will eventually go to it...if you do this get 550cc peak and hold injectors at least w/ resistor box and get rid of the missing link, fmu, and VAFC). No block guard. Autometer does not make 3 gauge pods for the 5th gen Prelude so you'll have to buy two and one pods. Get 3" exhaust but no one makes one off the shelf for the 5th gen (custom is the only way right now...I've checked with Thermal, Greddy, Apexi, Kakimoto, Tanabe...the biggest is 60mm or 2.36". Good luck.

Dude thanks for the input.. i am going to look into the injectors for sure.. I had originally wanted the revhard manifold but got the run around from Ultima in NYC and decided to take my buisness elsewhere... anyhow thanks again! now that importparts.com is taking forever i have Frank from SFP on the phone.. (and they are local so it might take even less..)
