Default Turbo gsr powered crx

Does anyone have a gsr turbo crx, if so what times and what are you setups and what model crx do you have? I am currently runing ls all stock but would like to go gsr turbo. I have a rev hard kit and have heard good about the ls turbo but just think I would be happier with a gsr. What dyno figures does anyone have with there setups, thanks.

Don't waste your money, just boost the LS, you'll spend 2~3 times as much in the long run swapping in a GS-R and boosting it. The LS is a very boost friendly engine. But you're nor going to be happy with either if they aren't tuned right. Some guys on here run 13.0~13.5 on 8~10lbs of boost in stock 2700lbs LS integra. Just think what that equates to for a 2000lbs CRX.....

Yes I do know what i'm talking about

That and some people don't have any clue as to how hard a 400 HP CRX would be to drive on the street...

Mine might be a 300~325 HP car. I can burn the first 3 gears off and chirp 4th, if I dump it from a light...It doesn't take that much power to make a CRX fast, mine would prolly run mid-low 12's on slicks easy.

I didn't mean you, but for a majority of the population, they'd have a hard time wrangling a 250 HP Honda, let alone a 400 + HP Honda...

I hear people say all the time that they want 450 HP for the street, bla bla bla.. I say that's unpractical because, like you said- all it is is wheel spin, and once you reach that point, any more HP is just dyno queen status. From what I've driven and seen, the practial street limit on street tires, daily driven is 250 wheel HP. Anything more than that, and it becomes undrivable.

Right ! I agree with you on the HP issue F=WT. Unless you can afford BFG's to roll around on all the time and have a nice suspension setup. **** loads of HP on the street in a CRX ain't gonna do jack for you. Hell most of the time I short shift first(4000 RPM), and second(6000 RPM). I haven't went from a stop light in so long it ain't funny, most of the time I go from 15~20 mph rolls, that helps some. But I still break traction hard in the top of 2nd gear, and when shifting into 3rd. It does make for wicked ride though.......once it hooks up

u can make well over 300whp, even 400whp w/ a turbo LS motor. if that is not enough power for u in a CRX street car then u need to get a bike!

I dont understand why so many people, including myself , want 400whp. I have almost 300whp and its hella fast and thats with full interior integra. the crx is so light that with 300whp you can beat 85% of the cars out there. do you even know what 300whp feels like, or even 200whp?
If I had a crx I would turbo the Ls stock and that thing would be a killer low 12, or 11 sec car. EASY!!

Way back in the day when we were trying to set up our race car chasis and getting stuff dialed in, we ran a bone stock gsr motor with the vtec turned off. we made 311hp at the wheels...on c16 with a dfi. The car was still pretty much a street car...well not really, but it had no wheeliebars and all the stock body panels, glass and stock front end. Just had a set of eibach drag launch springs and stock struts. Car probably weighed in 2100 with me in it, maybe a little lighter. We were able to run a 11.1 in the car. I am pretty sure we could have broke into the tens, but we got some old bad gas and melted a piston. After that, the real race motor went in and the rest of the race equipment went in like one peice front end and wheeliebars. I know, this is like a lifes history, and this was 2-3 years ago. But the moral of the story is...a ls motor with a nice turbo kit in it making high 200's at the wheels should net you a fast ride. Ohhh, I think I was one like 17 pounds on a super duper small t3/t4b turbo. That was about the max boost we could get out of the turbo. Geees....I think I just coughed up some dinosaur bones.....Mike

Yeah, I can spin my tires easy in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and chirp hard into 4th... I haven't dyno'd her recently, but I'd estimate Hp output at about 120whp (HAHAHAHAHA)
Hell, I can smoke 'em up at 55 on the highway.... spinning tires don't mean jack when you have a good clutch.

The upper 200s hp does sound nice and I do have a bike Its just down here in texas everyone drives like asses which is why its for sale right now, not that a 1900lb crx with 200+ hp is much safer. I just want to be able to light up the average Z06 you see on the road that looks over and laughs at hondas.
