turbo gsr keeps shutting off....Help please
a little background on the car:
been swapped for 4years
been turboed for about 2 1/2 years
tuned on greddy blue emanage
greddy kit on 10lbs
stock map sensor
stock gsr intake manifold and throttle body
alright so heres the situation,
a friend has a 98 civic coupe with a obd2 gsr swap out of a 97 teg.
the car just recently started to cut out while driving down the highway, it was very similar to as if there were a boost leak which there is not already checked. Also when driving in town when you come to a stop at a red light or so the car will shut off. turn the key it will fire right back up and run fine til the next time you come to a stop and it will do the same thing. the only way to keep it from not shutting off is if you give it some throttle.

i had a similar issue with my 1998 civic.
everyone thought it was my ignition switch (there was a factory recall, call the dealer ship with your VIN and see if yours has been replaced, otherwise they can do it for you for free)
but for me it turned out to be my main relay.
try bashing the passenger side of the dash next time it does it and see if it helps or even if it makes the car stall out again...
mine got REALLY bad, then i had to do something about it. car would turn right off and wouldnt come back on. hah

my car was doing this but only when I put the clutch in it would die and then start right up again. my problem got solved just by cleaning out the iacv.

the 96-00's use two different relays
mine was the made in mexico shitty version which is not easily resoldered.
u dont have to bash it like you want to destroy the dash... haha

update:
scanned the car and found a
~map sensor code- replaced map sensor with a known good one we had around.
~manf. control vehicle speed, idle speed, control auxilary inputs-not sure what to do...?
~o2 sensor #1 and #2 codes- planning to replace havent yet though
~manufacture control ignition system misfire- maybe replace the ignition switch recall?
also we changed plugs today with new ngk bkr7e
and reset the ecu and it was running great for about 10 minutes then it had no power and barly wanted to run.
any more ideas guys
thanks for the help so far..
