Turbo and Fuel Questions on stock sleeve GSR build.
Alright, I got a Stock Sleeve 81.5 GSR bottom with 10-1 Cp's, Manley Rods and going to mate that to a B16 head with either GSR or ITR cams. I have an AFI ramhorn, 3" DP and Tial 44 WG. I currently have these parts and have a few questions in regarding my fuel setup. I am looking for around 400whp on pump. Will 1000cc's and a walbro 255 be sufficient? I have spoken with a few on here and they said yes and a few also said no. I just want some advice on a fuel setup before i start sourcing fuel parts. Aslo, I have been looking at the precision 6262 snail... Should I go with the .63 A/R unit or the .82A/R unit? Thanks in Advance for any help

You have plenty of fuel for pump gas for 400 whp. I haven't used many .63 AR 6262's. I usually get .82's but I would assume it would yield you a little better power band if you are going for lower numbers.

Your fuel is fine setup is fine and I wouldn't run anything but a .63 A/R with that size engine. Regardless, do the math for yourself and make a decision.

agreed, fuel setup is fine. have you considered a smaller turbo? the 5857 may be a better match or even an old school sc34 would do the trick

Yeah i did look at some of the smaller precision units. I might go bigger (sleeved bigger bore) within a year or two and the 6262 didnt seem like too much overkill for my current 81.5 build. I might consider a smaller unit. One more question. My current motor in the car (b16-t) is tuned on S200. I am going to upgrade to an S300 on my GSR build. Is there somewhere I can go to download a map for my 1000cc's to get me to my tuner when that time comes?

Download a map? That is the whole purpose have having an S300... if you have a computer you are good to go. Just change the injector offsets and maybe some minor tweaks for decent idle. If you are going to have a turbo vehicle you should at least know how to look through/change minor things with your EMS.

Thanks. I used a phearable map to get to the tuner with my old setup and then the tuner hooked up the s200. I am still learning and researching the S300. Thanks for all the help.
