I am installing a ebay turbo kit for my buddy( I know, I know, I talked with him about it but he still wants to put it on). Anyways the feed line that came with his kit is like 3 to 4 feet long, is that to long? I will be running an oil restrictor.

thats how long mine was when i got it, no problems here.

36-28" gives good room to route it.

My is feed line was 3 ft long.

My old kits used a 3ft line, which on some B series engines depending on how you route it looked like it had the engine in a choke hold. Now my feedlines are 4ft, and they are much easier to route. The length won't effect anything mechanically.

length effects flow; if your running an unrestricted -3AN line [for instance 38"], and switch to a -4AN, the odds are you might need to add a restrictor to compensate for the extra flow so you don't blow your seals. [in the case of a journal bearing turbo] The smaller line adds more restriction; it is very much a part of the equation.
