Turbo D16Z6 dyno tuned w/uberdata ::PICS::
95 Civic Coupe EX
Stock D16Z6
Custom turbo setup running 10 psi...
T3 60 trim .48/.60 turbo
Uberdata
DSM 450cc injectors
Custom Manifold
Johhnyracecar 5 inch tall IC
2.5 inch charge piping
2.5 inch custom downpipe
3 inch exhaust
ACT xtss clutch
My custom manifold and T3 turbo installed...
ACT xtss... putting the power to the ground.
My 3 inch SS exhaust, 22 inch resinator, and magnaflow muffler...
Me handling my tyrus intercooler...
Mr. HomeMadeTurbo himself installing my resistor box for the DSM injectors...
A sweet FMIC shot...
Oh yeah baby...
My car on the dyno...
The results... 216hp/181tq...
The basemap my friend made for me threw down 216 whp on the first run and it kind of freaked me out because I was not expecting that much power just from the basemap. The boost gauge was reading 9-10 psi and the a/f ratio was in the 12's and after a few runs it was wanting more boost. The tune was conservative and I know we could have sqeezed out a lot more power, but this being my first turbo setup and my engine being completely stock I decided not to turn up the boost (even though everybody wanted me too). I kinda of wish I would have turned the boost up to 12 pounds or more for at least one run just to see what it could do. Last weekend I was looking at a d-series rod that snapped in half so that was kind of stuck in my head. I am very happy at 10 pounds though, but next time I dyno I am defintely turning the boost up.
Thanks to Jeff, Beau, Dave and anybody else that helped me finally get my car boosted...

i was wondering how your setup would dyno out, and i have to say . and as you said, it was a conservative tune. lean it out a lil and the #'s will go up. looks real good dude, now lets see some track times

Yeah my car liked the conservative timing seeing as it didn't make much more hp when we added some. My friend Beau made the mani for me.

Holy SHAT! Those numbers are sweet! Great job. You must be one happy camper. Hell, im happy cuz i got the same damn setup lol. (well ill be getting the new IC soon). That's WAY more than I was expecting. Great job! Post that on turbod16.com too so they can put you on their list. That's fantastic man.
SUPER JOB
What was your timing set at?
Also, what gear did you use? 4th?
GL with it! Can't wait to see track times!
BTW did you have a tyrus or a Johnnyracecar IC? B/C you mentioned both. just curious

Re: Turbo D16Z6 dyno tuned w/uberdata ::PICS:: (tilt)
that is clean! I am curious to know how much power I could put down at 10psi with my t3/t04e with a log manifold, tial wg, 450dsm injectors, and tyrus front mount intercooler . . . . also got 2.5" piping all the way back with no cat . . . . those are some killer #'s way to go man!

Re: (1bar)
The timing was set to 0.75 retard per pound. The timing at the distributor was pretty close to stock. My friend that made the basemap fiddled with the ignition maps too I believe. I am no expert on uberdata, but I am learning. The johnnyracecar intercooler is the same thing as a tyrus intercooler. We did the runs in 3rd gear.
I couldn't be happier with uberdata. The basemap was damn near perfect and it only took a few runs to get the A/F dialed into the 12's. Part throttle, transition into boost, boosting... was all perfect.
I am just kicking myself in the butt now that I didn't do at least one run at 12 pounds (next time Jeff ), but I am very happy with my numbers.

to the D-Series Ninjas in da hizzouse lol
good numbers. i ran the same turbo on my old setup. i made 194whp/164tq @ 8psi... i ran 10 once but no dyno but i was estimating around 220whp/185-190tq as well. manifold looks cool hehe

If you aren't making more power with more timing then that is probably because you are preigniting. Don't advance it anymore, you've found the "sweet" spot. You could probably make a little more power under the curve, but it would take a lot of dyno time.

Way to go, great numbers! I am running the same turbo on my D series setup. I will be going on the dyno soon, I hope I put up the #'s you did! Hell, I would be happy with less!
