Just took apart my d16, everything looks to be in good shape but wanted to rebuild it after 140k. I want to know what everyone recommends for rebuild parts, keepin the stock internals and valvetrain. It will be seeing 10 tuned lbs of boost from a greddy kit (max). This is a street car for fun, no drag racing or fasted honda on the east coast kinda ****.

This is what I had in mind:
ACT stage 3 clutch (4 puck clutch with stage 3 PP)
honda gaskets
total seal rings
ACL main bearings
rod bearings??? dunno yet

dont really think I need a block guard or anything, but if anyone suggests something else like mr gasket kits or other bearings, rings, clutch, etc let me know!!

hmm if ur doing a rebuild why not upgrade stock internals so u can run higher boost to me that would make more sense. I'm not sure what everyone uses for there parts but if it was me i'd upgrade while the engine is apart.

If you can by any means afford pistons and rods i'd do that.

i am thinkin honda gaskets and acl bearings

also what is the deal with d16a pistons? are they stronger?
