Default Turbo D16 Motor Ticking HELP

I have a turbo d16 and its tuned on a basemap for my setup im running 6-7 psi so nothing much. Recently Ive been hearing tick when I give it gas and the ticking has gradually gotten louder. Could this be my valves? Valve adjustment? Valve Lifters? any suggestions

Thanks

Does it tick when your car is at idle? Or does it tick when your turbo spools?

I cant hear no ticking at idle only when giving it gas at low rpms, once my turbo starts to spool I don't hear it anymore. Doesn't do it at idle Tho.

Try your best to isolate the noise, all the information you have given at this point can relate to a lot of things that might have to do with belt or fan path items (alternator, a/c pump, water pump, etc.) So isolate the noise and symptoms throughout rpm range (noise gradually increases or goes away).

I agree with Turbo-LS.

It does sound like an exhaust leak. My friend had this happen to him and it just putters exactly like that.

Could be an exhaust leak

Or

Valve lash
injectors ticking (normal for most large aftermarket injectors)
Start of rod knock or a spun bearing (wost case) I had my y8 lose an oil pump but the exhaust was so loud I couldn't hear it while driving, only when I pulled over and opened the hood and revved the motor could I hear just how bad the rod knock was (spun all 4 rod and main bearings, even spun the cam in the head)

No idea how a vacuum leak even remotely relates to a motor ticking.....
