Turbo CRX half radiator issues resolved!
This was the original problem... no room for a full radiator and hardly any for a 1/2 size because of the wastegate location.
EG radiator, GANSTER LEAN, overheated all the time... had to go.
upgraded to the fluidyne "CRX 1/2 size" radiator. Hoped it would fit. Turned out to be the EG radiator with a different part number GANGSTER LEAN, ran very warm 220+ all the time, had to go.
I pulled everything off, cut out the headlight frame a little and pounded in the side, cut the **** out of the hood, made up that nice elbow to relocate the WG, made a new dump tube.
still some cleaning up to do
im making a bracket tomorrow to fasten the radiator (no more zip ties)
hood closes runs perfect, stays nice and cool
13psi on a totally bone stock b18c.

or you could have made some JGTC baffles like I did to keep hot air from around the turbo from going through the rad
good deal though; i may have to try that instead of the jgtc stuff

i hated the ganster lean. its so much better having the air actually flow THROUGH the radiator. GL with your setup though.

I hacked the crap out of my CRX to make the EG rad fit too. Accpet, the single core aluminum rad sucks and I can make my car over heat easily in this weather. The dual core copper unit cooled much better then the single alum one Im running. Id up grade to a fluidyne one accpet from what you have mentioned temp wise, I wouldnt be much better off...
Oh the trials of tyring to keep a boosted EF cool in the summer...

Im running hot too... 220+, and i made some ducting last night to go aro und the edges/bottom/top of my rad (my rad is on a twisted angle, not leaned back) so hopefully it will help build up air pressure on the rad instead of flowing around it

nice setup, what mani is that. ALso did you not have room ro mount the radiator behind the front facia? Or mount it in an angle closer to the head light?
Nice car though

Nice ride bro, but use some engine degreaser on the engine bay, or paint the engine bay black. I little bit of elbow grease and that baby will shine!!!!!!!!!

Its a custom manifold made for an EG / teg. Cant mount the rad at an angle or air will not flow through it, that was the reason for doing all of this. The radiator is 2" too tall.

its a 38mm turbosmart, IMO its better than a tial. with the same setup, the tial WG opened a little early then creeped up to the right boost, i didnt like that. the turbosmart is instant and extremely consistent. i believe its part of the reason it hasnt blown up yet, the boost and afrs are consistent.
