Re: Turbo build advice for B18C
I still want to try an 18g build for ***** and giggles... maybe replace the cast compressor wheel with a billet unit for slightly elevated pressure range.

Re: Turbo build advice for B18C
Should I not even consider inputting the right injector size in Hondata? I also added the PWM parts into the ECU with the idea of having that as a readily available option for me should I decided to have Church tune boost by gear. Any thoughts on that? Good idea for a rather low boost setup? I don't want to push the limits of the stock map at 10-11psi, I'm not sure why I put that in there but I felt it was right....lol.

EDIT: Ya know, I was starting to look at replacement turbine wheels and they're all the same in design for this turbo. A few of the fins looks as if they're shaped differently with the same "clip" my current 18g has. So I think it's safe to say that the clipped fin is normal.

Re: Turbo build advice for B18C
I was referring to the fins/blades. I never really saw it before so seeing for the first time seemed off but comparing it to "replacement" units, it seems to be consistent in design.
Regarding the wastegate, should it be tight and shut when idle/not in use? I took the thing apart to put it back on during install of the turbo to the manifold. Forgot to count threads on the shaft.

Has it really been 2 years? Lol. Man its been a long time and yes, i will bump my thread without shame. Flame suit on! So 1.5 kids later, and changing my mind and almost ruining the block, and many other changes and decisions, i finally bolted up everything i can bolt up. Got a base tune from church automotive. I finally started her today!
Wish i can post a video without having to host it somewhere first but it took roughly 45 seconds to start after stitting so long. Sounds really good except it idles a bit rough around 900rpm. Like its "lobing" if that makes any sense but i suspect this being an issue due to her needing a real tune. I will post vids later if this thread is not locked.
Thanks!
