Turbo blowing oil, trying to find info on replacing seals.
hey guys The ol' T3T4 is blowing oil, did a compression test today and the rings have finally seated, so I have narrow my options down to my P.O.S. Turbo, Its leaking at the center "chunk" of the turbo inbetween the comp. and the turbine. So im 99% sure its the seals, kinda hard to belive tho, since this thing only has 700 miles on it? anyways where can I find a set of seals, who sells them and how much? and a chinese diagram would be nice too .

Changing the piston rings on a turbo is not something I'd recommend you do yourself. Just get it rebuilt.

Taking it apart is easy but you have to remember that assembly is balance do you have the proper equipment to re-balance it.
Do you have the know how to determine piston ring clearances do you have the equipment in case you need to re-groove the piston ring groove theres alot more to it than you think. Anyways good luck let us know how it works out.

Try getting an inline reducer to reduce oil pressure and see if that stops the smoking before you go out and buy a new turbo. Is your oil return setup correctly? Narrow out all the stuff that it "could be" incase it is something cheap. Hope its an easy fix and not your snail.
