is this turbo to big for me?
i did a trade for my NX kit for this turbo
t3t04e
i se it says a/r 60 on the intake side, i really dont know much about turbos. i know in the exhaust side where it connects to a manifold it has the number 1.15 engraved.
its a v-band exhaust side(what ever that is)
ill be running it on a b18b 9lbs stock internals, but dont know how good its going to work , or maybe i should just sell it. also this is a t3 flange?

that is not a normal t3/t04e (looks like a straight t4... someone correct me here).... you were taken for an unfair deal imo.
that is way to big for your application... in fact with that a/r exhaust turbine I would say it came off a diesel truck or tractor engine. compressor side is good but you will never spool it.

1.15 rear is pretty big. its gonna have a decent amount of lag but top end that sucker will hual some ***... ALso, i would consider more then just 9psi even so its on stock internals. I would do at least 12psi, as long as its tuned the right way you'll be alright

Me and Timmay did the trade.
I was told by a member of this board that this Blower is a T3/t04E.
Ididn't really check further for it since it was brand new and I only was looking to sell it / trade it for something usefull for me, I already got a turbo setup from greddy so I didn'T had the cash at the moment to look further into a custom setup for my SOHC, wich I thought about, would... use a WAY smaller turbo than that, just by the size of it, it was hitting my rad when I looked to stuff it into the engine bay.
KRanked.

its too big IMO
it will spool close to around 5k i bet
but once it spools i bet u will have bad traction problems.. wich is no good, haveing no power til 5 k and then just burn ur tires

that turbo is friggin huge, the turbine housing just from looking at it as waaaaaaay to big for any normal street driven 4 cyl. plus the divided turbine housing shows that its either custom or that its offa larger diesel type engine. looks like it came off a power stroke to me or cummins. you got ripped, i know thats not a t3/to4e. your engine wont even spool that thing. sorry man

for you to use that compressor housing and wheel on your car, if you could meet all of the other requirments of forcing that much air into the intake manifold such as a fully built motor and upgraded fuel req. you would be better just using the wheel and housing on maybe like a t3 turbine and center section. youde be better off just putting that on ebay and buying a regular t3 turbo

Actually, you can take the turbine housing off, measure the small and the big part of the turbine wheel, call the guys @ http://www.majesticturbo.com and they can make you a custom a/r turbine housing that will bolt right up for around 175. Go with a .63 or .48. Good luck.

You got ripped offfff. Yhea.... the blower is brand new, and it worth 547, 95 Us $ traded against a used single fogger NX express system that normally goes on H-t for 350, so to me you wern't ripped off from me...
it's very sad though that you can't use it, but like you said to me, you'r working in a speedshop so you can easilly find someone for it.
you can change the turbine housing on it for 175 like someone said, that would be a nice alternativ if you want to keep it, I suggest you sell it though cause it still have it's full value since it dosn't have a mile on it

Re: is this turbo to big for me? (b_jamin)
Just get a .48A/R Turbine Housing/Stage 5Turbine Wheel Combination and swap out your 1.15A/R T4 Turbine housing with what looks like a PTrim Turbine Wheel...You can probably take that turbo to the nearest turbo shop and trade them your housing/wheel for the T3 setup and pay very little difference if any...
