Turbo B16A OBD0 in an EK
Hello, I'm new to these forums and had a question for you all. I have a 97' EJ8 (EK in EX trim) that I want to swap a JDM B16A OBD0 engine into. I have a complete swap (Engine, Cable tranny, wiring harness, ECU, mounts, etc.) but I'm planning on running a turbo setup. I need to be able to run Hondata so I'll need an OBD1 ECU. I just wanted to know how I'd go about getting the OBD0 engine to work with an OBD2 car and have an OBD1 Hondata ECU.
I know this has been covered before, but I'm seeing mixed answers. I was hoping someone who has encountered this scenario could share some knowledge. I also know I would have been better off with an OBD2 B16, but I have what I have so please let me know if there is a solution for this engine.
Thanks in advance!

You will need an obd1 or 2 distributor, and a 4 wire O2 sensor. You might need to swap a different plug for the alternator. You will also need a resistor box if yiu are using the obd0 injectors.

Thank you for the reply! Some people were saying I'd need a knock sensor, new throttle body, and MAF. Is this not necessary? Also, are there any other cable to hydro conversions that are more affordable than the Hasport? (sorry if the last question was a little off topic)
